We've officially started getting ready for the next field season in South Africa. The excavation team is set, we've secured accommodation (no easy task in a resort town on the coast), and best of all...we have funding support from the Leakey Foundation! We were featured on the Leakey Blog site today (see link on left). We're still about 5 months away from digging, but there's a lot to keep me busy. I'm currently finishing up our paper on the test excavations, preparing for our symposium on the Cape Floral Region Paleoscape at the annual meeting of the Society for American Archaeology, and of course, teaching. |
